Duct Tape Dresses
The Queen of Hearts Dress
The very first dress I ever made out of duct tape. Yes, duct tape.
This dress won me the 2nd place prize in Duck Brand Duct Tape's Stick Or Treat Contest in 2008 and it also landed me a job with the company as their official duct tape artist.
On 10/15/2008 I was awarded a Daily Deviation on Deviantart.com for this dress.
Prom Dress
This is the second duct tape dress I made. This dress was made for Duck Brand Duct Tape for their New York media tour and there is also a sped up video of the building of the dress although I can't seem to find it. Made of Purple, Pink, and Maroon Duck Tape with Chrome detail down the side.
Prom Dress Revisited
This is the same dress as pictured above with some modifications that make it look a whole lot better in my opinion. First I changed up the neckline and took it from a cowl neck to a one sleeved look. Secondly I ripped off the maroon layer on the bottom and cut down the pink layer just a little. Lastly I changed out the chrome detail to a white detail that flows all the way down the entire dress, this white detail was all hand cut duct tape and totally free hand, no stencils. this dress earned me my second Daily Deviation on Deviantart.com on 1/26/2010 and will be in Duck brand's Commercial.
Stuck At Prom
This is the 4th duct tape dress I made and it was made for Duck Brand Duct Tape to promote the annual Stuck at Prom contest. The back of this dress is beautiful but I wasn't able to get any shots of it because even though my model is very tiny the dress was still a bit snug around her hips and it just didn't look right in the back. Even though I hate the colours of this dress I love the overall design and it might even be my personal favourite.
80's Dress
This duct tape dress was made for the annual Duck Tape Festival in Avon, Ohio and the theme was peace love and duct tape and one of the tents featured duct tape clothing designed to look like it was from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I made this dress in under 8 hours if I remember correctly.
Retro Dress
This duct tape dress was made for the annual Duck Tape Festival in Avon, Ohio and the theme was peace love and duct tape and one of the tents featured duct tape clothing designed to look like it was from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I love the way this dress turned out and it was actually very easy to make.
